RECREATION

This area is a wonderful place to relax, put your feet up and enjoys the views. Listen to the bird life in the garden, go rowing on the lake, relax in the hammocks or take time out with your loved one and enjoy the tranquility of soothing baths (in the garden) under the stars, complete with wine and candlelight. Complete privacy assured.

Take a walk around the gardens and try not to get lost amongst the labyrinth of paths dividing the woodland areas of magnolias, rhododendrons, camellias, trilliums, winter roses, spring bulbs, clematises and many well established specialized trees like the Gingko and Maples. Venture into the native New Zealand plantings area that leads you into a natural forest out to sweeping lawns and the new rose garden that is being developed. Take a walk around the orchard of fruit and nut trees and over a bridge where white Peking ducks sit on their nests of eggs or young chicks.

We are sure they are laughing at us sometime when they quack and follow us.

A very nice place to finish up is sitting on a garden seat under the shade of a weeping cherry blossom tree heavy laden with pink blossom and it is all on a very small island in the middle of the lake. Tranquility!

Or if you wish a more active getaway, join us in our pleasure boat on the lakes, for water-skiing and other water sports, fishing, sight-seeing. There is horse riding next door but appointments are required to ensure your booking.
